Bridgehead – Take your business abroad

BIO Clustermanagement NRW GmbH (BIO CM) is a catalyser in the EIT Health Bridgehead Program offering its service to startups and small companies in the biotechnology and life sciences.

Bridgehead matches high-quality health entrepreneurs with appropriate catalysers facilitating their internationalisation to new European markets (Bridgehead Europe/ Inbound) and non-European markets (Bridgehead Global). The catalysers are clusters, networks, or incubators that are experts in the target country and support startups through their local knowledge and contacts.

Through its network and experience, BIO CM qualifies as a catalyser for Germany and China sharing its expertise with startups and SMEs. BIO CM provides support in regulatory, financial, and cultural nature, such as the identification of partners and regions, fairs & conferences, assistance in business agreements, stakeholder management, and tailor-made workshops on e.g. local reimbursement and regulatory system.

BIO CM is not only located in Germany’s largest federal state and in close contact to academia and industry; it also has Chinese-speaking employees, located in Germany and China ideally linking Europe and the Far East. Thus, BIO CM can effectively accelerate the market entry to Germany and China.

For the catalyser’s support, the companies receive up to 40,000€ (Bridgehead Europe) or 50,000€ funding (Bridgehead Global). The next application deadline is expected in spring 2022. Further information can be found here.
